The Peninsula Aquatic and Recreation Centre (PARC) was delivered under a Design & Construct contract through a unique three-tier funding partnership between the local, state, and commonwealth governments. With an investment of $50 million, the project provided a transformative community facility designed to promote health, recreation, and wellbeing.
The centre comprises an extensive range of facilities including a heated indoor Olympic-size 50m swimming pool, children’s and leisure pools, a dedicated warm-water exercise pool, spa, sauna, and steam rooms. Complementing the aquatic offering, the development also features a fully equipped gymnasium, health and wellness centre, café, retail outlets, and crèche services.
Delivered in close consultation with stakeholders, the project required rigorous design coordination and construction management to integrate complex aquatic systems, safety standards, and public amenity requirements. The facility achieved Practical Completion in 2014 and continues to serve as a benchmark in community recreation and aquatic centre delivery.
